After a decade of traveling, and a 20 year career as a hairstylist, Kara Hartz resides in a magical town in Wyoming with her partner of 12 years, Matt and their chihuahua, Lemmy and Frenchie, Maple🍁 Kara has always been a die hard thrifter. Seeing no sense in buying new clothing, due to the lack of authenticity and now to fight fast fashion. She sources sustainable clothing from all over the USA. Boots on the ground. Let’s face it, there is enough clothing on this planet that buying “new fashion” is now supporting fast fashion. She is not a fan. (FFF) Supporting small businesses is where it’s at. Kara has never been the kind of person that wants to wear what anyone else owns. That’s why she created TRASH CAT. One of a kind pieces formed from the clothing she already has, the clothing that tells a story, the clothing no one else owns.
